Fun:
I picked this up knowing absolutely nothing about it. I bought it based on the look of the game and its premise. You crash-land on an alien planet. Youre a non-human being with super technology and an onboard AI that talks to you like an English soldier girl. Your ship isnt destroyed just out of commision. On the planet is an ancient race of hippy-like peoples that are being oppressed by an alien race of nasty cyborgs. As you explore the planet you find ore that is gold to you and just rock to the inhabitants. There's also jems you find lying around. Using these elements the AI delvelops weaponary that you use in the fight to free the indigenous folk from the baddies. The platform play is similar to the Diablo games and is very easy to use. The graphics (I say graphics because there are no polygons anywhere) are very well deatailed, the GUI is very good for the exception of the descriptions of the weapons and items that can only be identified when you go to the user-interface or back to the ship for analysis. Speaking of weapons: this game offers a wide array of guns, shields, mines and other fun toys at your destructive disposal. Its got some great voice-over actors as well as some joke dialogue thrown in there for Zak. Terrific visuals and level design and great mazes and puzzles make this a fun game you can play for hours on end or until your hands cramp up on you. 8/06 Addendum: I have finished this game and can say without any reservations that this is one of my favorite games ever! BUY IT!!!
